2019 Christmas Cocktails! (Winners and Runners-Up)

Well, ladies and gentlemen, about a month ago I was doing my usual Sunday Patreon Livestream and during the talk with everyone in the chat, we came up with the idea of collecting recipes for Holiday Drinks, and picking two winners. The point being that if I were to get the recipes published prior to the show then everyone at home would be able to go out, buy the ingredients themselves, and be able to share a drink or two with us during the Saturday Night show for December — which happens to be tomorrow, December 21, 2019!

So here are our winners (chosen by me and the home crew here), and then I am going to list all of the runner-up recipes that were submitted below them:

The Colorado Bulldog (Sarah):

Hi Frank,

This is similar to the White Russian.  It's called a Colorado Bulldog.

These drinks are my favorite and they can get you $hit faced without realizing it :)  They are heavy drink but go down smooth.

Ingredients:

1 part Kahlua

1 part Vanilla Vodka or Absolut

1 part cream (or half & half or milk)

Top with Coca Cola, Root Beer or -here they use Dr. Pepper

  • Shake liquor and cream.

  • Pour over ice but not to the top.

  • Top off with soda of choice.

***Note from Frank: We will be using cream, and Dr. Pepper

Rob’s Specialty Coffee Blend:

Brew a double espresso (substitute coffee if you have to)

2oz of Vanilla Vodka

1oz of Baileys

1/2 oz. Each of Frangelico (or Amaretto) and Kahlua

Combine in a shaker with ice

**Chilled only for a few moments — the coffee will melt the ice pretty quick, so you don’t want to leave it on there too long.

Strain out the ice and serve in a glass of your choice - Martini Glass if you want to be real classy.

**Note from Frank: We will be using Amaretto instead of Frangelico. If anything changes I’ll let you know

——- And Now for Our Runners up! ——-

Kirsty a.k.a. Red
—  Here is my favorite Bailey's recipe...

1 can sweetened condensed milk

1 cup of Irish whiskey

3 Eggs

1cup Whipping Cream

Dash of salt

2 TBS of chocolate milk syrup

1 Tsp of pure vanilla or 1/2 Tsp of coconut extract

1/2 Tsp of instant coffee

Blend well and then store in airtight container in the fridge — the concoction lasts as long as expiration date of whipping cream!

“Lightning Punch” by Christian (Founder of Nordic Coffee http://www.riseandgrind.us/ — we will actually be using his Old Habor coffee blend for Rob’s Coffee Recipe):

Liz:

Coquito is always good for the holidays, drink it cold or leave it in a jar in the freezer for a few days and it turns into a milk shake.  It's delicious and you dont feel the rum in it until it sneaks up on you all of a sudden...

2 cans Coco Lopez

4 cans Carnation milk

2 cans condensed milk

To taste Ground cinnamon (start with 2 teaspoons then add more to your taste)

4 -6 Cinnamon Sticks

1 750 ml bottle of white rum, 151, or Puerto Rican moonshine whichever you prefer!

Combine Condensed MILK and ground cinnamon in a bowl and stir to prevent cinnamon lumps

Add Coco Lopez and stir

Add Carnation and Rum and stir

Taste to adjust Cinnamon

Put cinnamon sticks in the bottle and pour Coquito over to fill the bottle and refrigerate or freeze you will need additional bottles or a pitcher glass works best!

John’s Bloddy Maria:

Hi Frank. I have this drink recipe for a Bloody Maria which is just a Bloody Mary with tequila instead of vodka.

First you should order the best bloody mary mix I’ve ever had from

http://muddymarys.com/muddypurchase.html

I just get the regular flavor because the spicy is in fact, too spicy for my taste. Follow the directions on the jar.

BUT, for the tomato juice, substitute V8 original vegetable juice https://www.amazon.com/V8-Original-100-Vegetable-Juice/dp/B00LM3G7IS

And instead of vodka, use your favorite tequila.

This is the best tasting bloody mary/maria I’ve ever had, and I’ve been sampling Bloody Marys at every restaurant I’ve ever been to and this mix is tops.

Hope you enjoy!

John

THANK YOU ALL FOR MAKING ALL OF THESE IDEAS POSSIBLE AND SO MUCH FUN! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
